Good afternoon. Good afternoon. I'm so glad to see everybody today. Welcome, welcome. we are here for Generational Health, powered by blackdoctor.org, and we have an amazing day planned for you guys. We hope you guys will join us and stick around for as long as you can. But let me tell you, something powerful is on the horizon. Today, Black Doctor is unveiling a landmark movement that redefines a blueprint for longevity. It's a new era for generational health. Today, health is more than what we inherit. It's what we pass on from generation to generation. It's our stories, it's our traditions, it's our care for one another.
At Black Doctor, we see ourselves not just as a platform, but as an engine for transformative change, and that's what we're gonna start talking about today. How do we start that engine moving? How do we carry it on from our family to one another, and so on, and so on, to just keep building our generational health? For too long, narratives around health have been centered on disparities rather than possibilities. Black Doctor's writing that story, rewriting that story. By combining trusted health information, community engagement, and cultural empowerment, we are helping shape a future where longevity, vitality, and wellness are not the exception, but the expectation in our community.
Generational Health, powered by Black Doctor, envisions a world where health is our collective right, and our systems of care and knowledge are live, living blueprints for longevity.
Our choices today are ripple effects that can either reinforce disparities or where we can break the cycle, and that's what we're aiming to do, so that we can build healthier futures. We have a full day of powerful conversations on generational health, starting with our first panel, which we'll get into next, which I have the honor of moderating, and that is on framing the next five years. What do we need to do to name the- to frame the next five years of generational health for ourselves and one another? Then, we're gonna move into unity of immunity, talking about vaccines, and a public health priority called 340B.
If you don't know about it, you'll definitely wanna stay around to learn more about it. And then our spotlight panel at 4:30 is about the narratives that drive us. A cornerstone of generational health is the storytelling, the passing down of information, and we're gonna talk to people that are helping frame those narratives and how they keep building it moving forward. How do we tell the stories? How do you all tell the stories within your family? And if you're not telling them now, how can you begin doing so? We're gonna help you with people that are doing that long-term and able to help shape it.
But right now, I am honored to introduce Dr. Georges Benjamin. He is the executive director of APHA. So when you look around, we're talking about Dr. Benjamin right over here, and the- all the amazing work that he has done. I'm gonna welcome him up here to help kick off today, and then we're gonna be followed by Dr.
Matthew Knowles, legendary music executive, author, and global ambassador for Zero Prostate Cancer. All right, Dr. Benjamin!
